Good Morning Santa Barbara! Hello Pacific Ocean!
Overnight Thruway bus dropped us to this charming Amtrak station.On board Pacific Surfliner. True to its name, this short run to LA Union station is lined by sand and surf! Sip monring caffine by the sea. Day long wait for Sunset (Limited!)..look around LA neighborhood ..Chinatown.
At 10 p.m, boarded Sunset Limited, Amtrak train that runs from LA to NOL. Looking forward to 48 hour journey through AZ,NM,TX deserts,boarder then finally entering into bayou land of LA.
